Traveling to the RD20/20 Meeting
Flying to Mendoza There are multiple options for flying into the Mendoza airport (MDZ) depending on where you are coming from or whether or not you will travel to Buenos Aires to attend ISER. When comparing flights we often use GOOGLE flights or Kayak Flights to find the best fares. The most convenient connecting airports are the Santiago International Airport (SCL) or the Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) in Lima, Peru. Both are served by the LATAM airline, which code shares with several international airlines. It is also possible to arrive through Buenos Aires, but there are limited flights between the Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) and the Mendoza airport (MDZ). Travelers passing through Buenos Aires might also use the domestic airport Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), but transferring between airports in Buenos Aires will require taking a 20 to 40 minute taxi ride.
Traveling to the Sheraton from the airport The Sheraton is a short drive from airport and taking a taxi is inexpensive and convenient. Ride sharing companies like LYFT and UBER are not common in Mendoza. However, taxis are everywhere and inexpensive. Outside the airport there is a taxi kiosk. If you don't have local currency, you can ask the attendant for taxi that takes credit cards. You can get Argentinean Pesos in the airport ATM, but the airport exchange rate is not in your favor. The best exchange rates are at bank ATM's in the city, near the hotel.
